Business Services and Commercial Litigation
Representing primarily small and medium size businesses, Mike provides services that include formation of business entities, drafting and negotiating various types of business agreements, handling of complex purchases/sales of businesses, and prosecuting or defending various business disputes in court.

Coming from an entrepreneurial family, who owned and operated small and medium sized businesses and being a co-owner of a small business himself, Mike is not only able to guide his clients through the legal significance of various business problems, but also the practical problems businesses face during a legal dispute.

Wills, Trusts and Estates
Estate planning helps to ensure the transfer of wealth to one's intended beneficiaries, avoids costly probate administration of one's estate upon his or her death, and helps one find the most beneficial tax outcome during and after his or her lifetime. Mike's Estate practice encompasses more than just estate planning however. He also represents individuals charged with the responsibility of administering decedent's estates, individuals who have claims against Decedent's estates, and other related contested probate matters.

Real Estate
Residential or Commercial real estate closings, Landlord-Tenant disputes, Real Estate Litigation and Development are all aspects of Mike's real estate practice. Real Estate matters are commonly a part of Mike's business and estate practice as well. This is an important aspect to the services we provide-—one attorney handling your matter from start to finish, who is knowledgeable in every aspect of your case.

Mike is a graduate of Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law. His educational and work experience ranges over a wide area of practice areas, including criminal prosecution and defense, corporate and business litigation, and litigation of personal injury and products liability cases.

Florin Tucherman practices in the area of Immigration Law and, as a former attorney for the City of Chicago, represents clients in Administrative Hearings proceedings brought by the City of Chicago.

Florin arrived in the United States with his parents at the age of five. His family stayed with sponsors in Chicago until they were able to move out on their own. Florin and his family were allowed their start in this county, because of the assistance of other immigrant families and charitable organizations.

Florin attended and graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in History with Concentrations in Western European Studies and Environmental Studies. After college Florin worked in the operations departments of a number of financial firms.

After two years of working in this field Florin decided to change careers and help others as he and his family were previously helped. Florin decided to go to law school to become an attorney, concentrating in the field of Immigration Law.

Florin graduated from the University of Iowa law school. During his law school education, Florin interned at Asylumlaw.org and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It was his work in Asylum Law that left the deepest impression, however.

During this time, Florin helped a Somali refugee gain asylum into the U.S. It was a physically and psychologically grueling case for Florin, who made numerous trips to the Racine, Wisconsin jail for client interviews, where he learned of cruel and gruesome acts of physical abuse, torture and discrimination in Somalia. In the end, Florin assisted in gaining asylum for his client. Giving this Somali refugee a chance for freedom and opportunity made this one of Florin's most meaningful cases.

After law school, Florin worked for the City of Chicago, where he prosecuted traffic and administrative matters on behalf of the City. Florin left the office of the Chicago Municipal Prosecutor to co-found Fakaros & Tucherman.

Florin and his family were granted U.S. citizenship nearly 25 years ago. Today, Florin enjoys paying that gift forward to the people of Chicago, Illinois and others throughout the United States. Florin speaks fluent Romanian, represents many people in the Romanian community of Chicago, throughout the U.S. and in Romania.
